We’re in the process of calculating the final donation tally; meanwhile, we want to make sure we’ve counted everyone who donated. Mary S. has replied to everyone who emailed their donation to marymcdonnellcares@yahoo.com, so if you haven’t heard from her, please let us know. In the meantime, if you’ve donated, please check this list to make sure that your name is included (and that it’s the name you want included in the card we send to Mary). If it’s not, please let us know ASAP so we can make sure your information came through. These are also the names that will be entered into the drawing for the signed photo of Mary!

You guys have done an amazing job so far, and we’re down to the final days of the fundraiser - the deadline is this Monday, April 30. We’ve raised over $1000 for Autism Speaks in Mary’s honor, and with just these few days to go, let’s see how much more we can accomplish! Every little bit helps, so if you haven’t had a chance yet, please visit the Mary Cares blog or any of the links listed above for information about the fundraiser and how to donate. Remember, one lucky donor will win an autographed photo from Mary herself!

The deadline has been pushed back to April 30. For those of you who haven’t donated before, this is the basic rundown. Go to the Autism Speaks website and make whatever donation you can afford to make. Let us know at the Mary Cares LiveJournal Group, via email at marymcdonnellcares@yahoo.com, or here via a private Tumblr message so that we can add your donation to the total tally.
This year there is a new cool addition to the fundraiser because Mary was generous and sweet enough to sign an 8x10 photo for one lucky donor. If you donate any amount, your name goes in the drawing for the photo.
Just want to reiterate that it doesn’t matter how much or little you can afford - every bit is appreciated, and it’s all in Mary’s honor. So please, if you can, this is a great way to help celebrate an actress we all love and honor her on her birthday! We’ll send her a card with the final amount and a list of donors.
This is the seventh year fans have come together to raise money in honor of Mary’s birthday. Last year we raised over $2000. We have nearly $400 so far. With two weeks to go and a lot of dedicated fans, let’s see if we can beat that record!

Monday, April 2, 2012 is World Autism Awareness Day. It’s a perfect opportunity to donate to Austin Speaks in honor of Mary McDonnell for the Mary Cares Birthday Fundraiser. If you can, please donate to this great group that Mary so generously supports!

Hello! So it’s about time to start really gearing up for the fundraiser this year. Unless I hear otherwise, this year’s charity is going to be the same as last year’s - Autism Speaks. For those of you who haven’t donated before, this is the basic rundown. Go to AutismSpeaks.org and make whatever donation you can afford to make. Let us know at the Mary Cares LiveJournal Group so that we can add your donation to the total tally.
I suggest you start saving now, say a couple of dollars or more a week, then make a donation closer to the deadline (which is April 21, a week before Mary’s birthday). This year there is a new cool addition to the fundraiser because Mary was generous and sweet enough to sign an 8x10 photo for one lucky donor. If you donate any amount, your name goes in the drawing for the photo. I’ll post a pic of it soon so you can be tempted even more to make a donation.
